Terms of Service

HonestCal is a calorie and macro tracker that helps you log food and weight, set targets, and get AI-assisted nutrition estimates from text or photos.

HonestCal is for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not medical, nutritional, or dietary advice, and is not a substitute for a qualified professional. AI-generated estimates are approximate and can be wrong. Always consult a professional before making health decisions — especially if you have a medical condition or a history of disordered eating.

You must be at least 16 to use HonestCal. You’re responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account, and you agree to provide accurate information.

You agree not to:

• use the app for anything unlawful, or upload someone else’s personal data without permission;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service;
• abuse the AI features, scrape the service, or resell access without our permission.

The meals, weights, and other data you log remain yours. You grant us the limited permission needed to store and process that data in order to provide the app to you — nothing more.

HonestCal offers a free plan and a paid Pro plan. Paid plans are billed through Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from the app; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep Pro access until then. Except where the law requires otherwise, fees already paid are non-refundable.

AI estimates are provided “as is” and are approximate. They depend on the information you give and on third-party models, and may be inaccurate. Use your own judgement.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, HonestCal will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on calorie, macro, or other estimates.

You can stop using HonestCal and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that harms it or other users.

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of HonestCal is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

We may update these terms from time to time. We’ll revise the “last updated” date above, and significant changes will be communicated in the app or by email. Continuing to use HonestCal means you accept the updated terms.
